AFCONA Chemicals has experienced tremendous growth since it was founded in 2005 in Southeast Asia. Today we are a truly global company, with manufacturing, technical, and commercial operations on four continents. These sites support a network of dedicated sales staff and independent distributors who provide exemplary service to our customers around the world.

We have a staff of more than 200 employees worldwide, and our management team has decades of experience in the coatings and chemicals industries. While our company is relatively young, we represent a wealth of experience our customers can bank on.

One key to AFCONA’s rapid growth is our drive for continuous innovation. We have been able to provide advanced solutions to the market by tailoring our R&D, Applications, and Technical Service capabilities to the needs of our customers. Today more than 30% of our revenue is generated by products that have been in the marketplace for less than 5 years. And we reinvest more than 5% of our revenue into R&D every year to ensure our innovation pipeline remains healthy and continues to grow.

Another of our assets is our flexibility and agility when adjusting to changing market conditions. AFCONA’s independent position in the chemicals market - and our employee-driven management model - allows us to act quickly when a fresh opportunity presents itself. Defoamer and deaerators:

We produce various ranges of defoamers and deaerators. Chemically, they are based on Modified Dimethyl Polysiloxanes and Silicone Free Polymers.

Surface control additives:

AFCONA additives produce various ranges of slip, levelling and anti-crater additives for both water based and solvent based coating. Chemically, they are based on Modified Dimethyl Polysiloxane, pure Polyacrylic and Fluorocarbon modification Polyacrylic.

Wetting and dispersing additives:

We produce wide range of high molecular weight dispersing agents, ranging from Polyurethane based to Polyacrylic based which are suitable for all solvent-based coatings and industrial water-based systems. Dispersants are one of our most outstanding specialties in all of our additives range.
Also we produce a wide range of conventional wetting and dispersing agents to suite different needs of customers. All these products based on formation of polymer salts provide the wetting and dispersing properties. In addition, they promote anti-gravity effect for anti-settling effect.

Kelly Chemical Corporation is a powerful Taiwanese manufacturer of colouring agents, pigments, resins, and further special chemicals.

Habich GmbH distributes the group of solvent dyes from the range of Kelly Chemical Corporation. These solvent dyes enable haze free, transparent colouring of paper, metal foils or timber in solvent containing and aqueous inks, pickling and coatings. Next to the colouring of coatings and inks, Kelly also offers solvent dyes for the colouring of plastics which can used at manufacturing temperatures up to 300°C.

Special effects can be obtained through the effect pigments produced by Kelly, whether it may be thermochromic, photochromic or fragranced pigments. The result is always surprising. The range of Kelly products that is distributed by Habich GmbH is topped off with a broad palette of pearlescent pigments.

SIOF (Società Italiana Ossidi di Ferro) is an Italian provider of iron oxides. This range of products offers, next to high quality iron oxide pigments and earth colours, a broad spectrum of synthetic iron oxides in building chemical products, plastics, and coatings. Special types and non-standard types are available upon request.

Union Colours is an international division of Longyu Pigments and Chemicals Corporation, the largest organic pigment producer in China.

We serve our customers from our regional technical centres and we are supported globally through a network of technically enabled agents and distributors.

Our development capabilities are substantial, we are replacing traditional pigments with often technically superior products manufactured at our facilities in China, India and South Africa.
Due to the scale of our China facility and the flexibility of our South African and Indian facilities we are able to produce a wide range of products. We are a major supplier to all inks, coatings and plastics systems globally.

LEVACO Chemicals GmbH is a leading manufacturer of dispersants, emulsifiers, wetting agents and anti-foaming agents. LEVACO´s products are used in agricultural formulations, fiber manufacturing as well as the development of paints and coatings. LEVACO´s headquarters and production site are in the Chempark Leverkusen. LEVACO is a member of the Diersch & Schröder Group from Bremen.

Businessline Chemical Solutions

LEVACO produces additives for paints, varnishes, dyes, coatings and printing inks. In addition, they also manufacture specialty chemicals for industrial and chemical applications.

LEVACO´s product range includes both non-ionic and anionic wetting and dispersing agents for use in aqueous, universal and solvent-based systems.

In addition, LEVACO also offers several products with anti-foaming agents and primers based on natural oils, mineral oils and silicones as well as oil-free products. Rheology additives based on polyurethane, antistatic agents, coupling agents, flash rust inhibitors, functional monomers, and others. LEVACO has an experienced team with in-depth knowledge of the development, production, and use of these products.
